Este documentário tem a colaboração de um ex-repórter da guerra Israel-Hezbollah em 2006 e compila mais de 80 arquivos históricos.
Pretende-se expor o peso das corporações, dos lobbies e das pressões políticas no complexo industrial-militar da NATO.
1. NATO – estrutura defensiva ou ofensiva?
Neste ponto, aborda-se a verdadeira natureza ofensiva da NATO, enumerando-se os ataques à Jugoslávia, Afeganistão, Iraque e Líbia.
2. Complexo industrial-militar
Neste capítulo, identifica-se as principais empresas de armamento (e, consequentemente fornecedoras da NATO), tais como a Lockheed Martin, a Raytheon e a Boeing.
Ainda, explica-se o ciclo lucrativo da guerra, por outras palavras, a indústria do armamento alimenta-se dos conflitos.
3. Lobbying e influência política da indústria armamentista
Neste segmento, dá-se nota dos principais lobbies norte-americanos que pressionam os políticos a adoptarem medidas neo-conservadoras.
Dentro desta esfera, destacam-se os seguintes lobbies: Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Rand Corporation e o Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).
Não menos importante, destaca-se o papel crucial da Administração Bush na normalização da indústria da guerra.
4. Esforço orçamental de 5% do PIB na Defesa
Por último, no ponto 4, discute-se a bondade da medida de dotar 5% do PIB para a Defesa, uma medida aparentemente inocente, mas altamente discutível pois preterirá sectores essenciais como a saúde e a educação (altamente fragilizados).
Pretende-se, assim, desconstruir as narrativas que procuram convencer os cidadãos europeus da existência de uma ameaça externa.
Este documentário reveste a maior actualidade, dado que a União Europeia apresentou o documento “ReArm Europe“.
Este, por um lado erode a soberania dos países e, por outro, conforme já exposto, redireccionará dinheiros públicos para o rearmamento, em detrimento de outras áreas indispensáveis do país.

Below is the English translation of the article.
This documentary has the collaboration of a former Israel-Hezbollah war correspondent and compiles more than 80 historical archives.
It is intended to expose the weight of corporations, lobbies and political pressures in the military-industrial complex of NATO.
1. NATO – defensive or offensive structure?
At this point, the true offensive nature of NATO is addressed , listing the attacks on Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya.
2. Military-industrial complex
In this chapter, the main arms companies (and consequently suppliers to NATO) are identified, such as Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and Boeing.
Still, the profitable cycle of war is explained, in other words, the arms industry feeds on conflicts.
3. Lobbying and political influence of the arms industry
In this segment, one can see the main US lobbies that pressure politicians to adopt neo-conservative measures.
Within this sphere, the following lobbies stand out: Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Rand Corporation and the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).
Not least, the crucial role of the Bush Administration in normalizing the war industry is highlighted.
4. Budgetary effort of 5% of GDP in Defence
Finally, in point 4, the goodness of the measure to allocate 5% of GDP to Defence is discussed, an apparently innocent measure, but highly debatable because it will neglect essential sectors such as health and education (highly fragile).
It is thus intended to deconstruct the narratives that seek to convince European citizens of the existence of an external threat.
This documentary is all the more topical, as the European Union has presented the document ‘ReArm Europe’.
This, on the one hand, erodes the sovereignty of countries and, on the other, as already exposed, will redirect public money to rearmament, to the detriment of other indispensable areas of the country.
